Kinergy moves together as one body in Christ. As of November 10, 2024, the church congregation that has gathered for many years at the Kinergy Lifestyle Center is operating under the name Downriver Community Church, until further notice or a decision by our community is announced. This formation and rebranding reflects our deep commitment to family, movement, and faith. Leadership is being established and everything regarding this body of people will always be completely transparent. Please see the FAQ’s and stay tuned for more formal announcements. We are truly grateful to everyone eager to join this movement and be part of our growing family in Christ. We thank you for your patience and your continued support. Kinergy

Kinergy comes from the words "Kinetic" or "Kinesiology," meaning movement or the study of movement. Additionally, "Kin" refers to family or "next of kin." Together, Kinergy represents the powerful combination of family and movement, creating energy in Jesus' name.

Kinergy is more than a non-profit organization, a building, or a gym. It’s family. It’s church. It’s movement. It’s a “state of being.” It’s moving towards Christ and moving His kingdom forward.

Kinergy Lifestyle Center

The Kinergy Center is a 27,000-square-foot, multi-purpose wellness center designed to unite the community. It operates efficiently through its facility space utilization system. As a federal non-profit ministry, Kinergy aims to unite a community of believers (the church) without depending on traditional programming, worship experiences, or weekly contributions. While the Kinergy Center is a physical building, its principles and goals emphasize self-sufficiency through space utilization, organizational partnerships, and facility efficiency; all united in the pursuit of positive well-being, centered on Christ.

We strive to connect our community with our Creator and honor His masterpiece by optimizing our physical lifestyle. We design faith-centered wellness programming that helps individuals find peace and longevity through Christ.


Kinergy Ministry

The team at Kinergy is working tirelessly at creating functional content for individuals to unite in Christ. We believe people are the church and we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We want to fulfill the great commission and build the church all over the world. We will accomplish this through modern, relevant outreach using wellness programming that leads people to Jesus.

This is achieved through a number of creative measures centered around Jesus and wellness, building our temples, and honoring God through sacrificial living, order, balance, and discipline. Because these areas of life are often the most difficult, Kinergy strives to make this process extremely simple by converting church buildings into wellness and lifestyle centers that can be utilized daily, instead of “a couple of hours a week.” Our weekday workout is called a Jubilee, a seven-exercise circuit that can be completed anytime during the movement center's hours of operation.

The entire facility is open to many activities such as basketball, pickleball, badminton, table tennis, board games, and other youth and adult physical and worship activities. The Serenity Garden, Media Room (theater), and other rooms are dedicated to life groups, video games, study, coffee, work-from-home stations, and various scheduled activities.

The Modern Church

The “modern church” does not mean “megachurch,” it is not defined by attendance, contributions, how comfortable the chairs are, or how entertaining the service is. The modern church is functional, realistic, safe, and convenient. It provides biblical leadership and a hub for the community to optimize their lives through movement, service, and faith.

Kinergy is a relevant system for congregational outreach and facility management offering positive programming that unites local individuals and ministries in Christ. Each Kinergy facility will have its own culture, vibe, and offer various amenities depending on the size of the facility, resources, and goals. Kinergy is a place for connection, accountability, and community.

The primary goal for any Kinergy facility is to further the kingdom. However, there are innumerable additional benefits that all work together in divine symmetry.
